ORTHOPAEDIC OCCUPATIONAL THERAPY  TEAM STATIC OCCUPATIONAL

THERAPIST (Band 5)

An unusual opportunity has arisen for a Static Band 5 Occupational Therapist to work within the Orthopaedic Occupational Therapy Team, which covers both Trauma patients on the Warrington site and Elective patients at the Cheshire & Merseyside Treatment Centre at Halton Hospital.

 

The successful candidate would ideally have experience in both the trauma and elective fields or be able to demonstrate a passion for working in this area, and will be committed to developing our service at what is an exciting time for Orthopaedics at Warrington and Halton Hospital NHS Foundation Trust.

 

Daily Duties will include:

 

  • Dealing with clinical caseload
  • Assisting in the completion of ongoing audits
  • Assisting with the health and safety aspects of the service

Please note pay progression is subject to the NHS Agenda for Change Pay Progression provisions applicable from 1st April 2019.

All posts are subject to NHS Employment Check Standards including a DBS check, if applicable. Depending on the classification of the post, in-line with DBS guidelines, a Standard or Enhanced disclosure will be required which may include a check of the ‘Vulnerable Adults List’, the ‘Children’s List’ and/or the Independent Safeguarding Authorities (ISA’s) barred lists.

A charge of £39 (Standard) or £60 (Enhanced) will be made by the successful candidate which will be deducted from the first 3 months’ salary. In addition to this, you will also be required to re-pay any future costs that may arise in relation to DBS fees.

NB. Current employees of Warrington and Halton Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust who have had a satisfactory DBS check, carried out by this Trust during the last 3 years, will not be required to undertake a new one. Where staff have not had a check (classification appropriate to the post offered) within the last 3 years, they will be required to undertake and pay for this, as per the arrangements above.


Disclosure and Barring Service Check

This post is subject to the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act (Exceptions Order) 1975 and as such it will be necessary for a submission for Disclosure to be made to the Disclosure and Barring Service (formerly known as CRB) to check for any previous criminal convictions.
