Contract Officer - Fixed Term For 12 Months

We are looking to recruit a fixed term Band 6 contract manager to cover maternity leave. The post offers the right candidate the opportunity to work within the acute contracting team of Mid Essex Clinical Commissioning Group. This team provides contracting services for the five CCGs of the Mid and South Essex Sustainability and Transformation Partnership.

We are looking for a dynamic professional who has the skill, knowledge and experience to lead the contract management of some of our acute contracts. The successful applicant will be required to manage the diverse requirements of the role of Contract Officer.

The Contract Officer will actively manage and support the negotiation and management of a portfolio of contracts with providers, commensurate with the post, ensuring that key contract management processes are undertaken to a high standard and within required timeframes. The post holder will manage a portfolio under the direction of a Contract Manager, including ensuring appropriate contract documentation is in place, that regular performance management and reporting is undertaken to required timescales and that effective and productive relationships are developed with providers.
