The Salaried Dental Service in Devon has a mission to provide excellent dental care to those who have additional needs, or those who have a dental emergency and do not have a regular dental Practioner. The service provides oral surgery in a primary care setting and delivers oral health training to patients and carers who are responsible for the mouths of both adults and children.

We are looking for enthusiastic, experienced Dental Nurses to join our team. The Devon salaried Dental service operates within 7 different locations based across Exeter, East, Mid and North Devon and incorporates 6 broad work streams including special care, general anaesthesia, sedation, urgent care, oral surgery and oral health promotion. We also undertake annual Epidemiology surveys. You will be part of a team of Dental Nurses working closely with the Clinicians based in the Barnstaple NHS Dental Access Centre. You will be required to deliver high quality dental nursing care for all types of dental patients and their carers. The role will also include some administration and reception assistance.

Some rotation to work in our dental clinics in our Community Hospitals will be required. Dental Nurse Qualification and registration with the GDC is essential. Continuous professional development is very important and will be encouraged.
