An exciting opportunity exists for a dynamic and experienced Occupational Therapist to work with children, families and school staff at Linden Lodge School. The Occupational Therapist’s role will be to provide onsite Occupational Therapy support for children and their families/carers, and to school staff. The post holder will be flexible, with a commitment to new ways of working and have an innovative approach to patient centred care and efficient service delivery. Linden Lodge School is a Regional Centre for children aged between two and nineteen that caters for visually impaired pupils, including those who are multi-disabled visually impaired. The school also supports pupils with profound and multiple learning difficulties.


You will be part of a very friendly and supportive team of Health and Education staff and will be supported by a Band 7 OT on site, as well as access the wider Occupational Therapy network, and MDT peers. There is a large mutli-disciplinary health team onsite, providing therapy and nursing input to the pupils.


You will participate in clinical development with the school therapy MDT as well as the wider OT team, and will take part in regular OT professional meetings and study days. You will also have opportunities to develop your skills via self directed study, shadowing and joint working and internal or external training courses.
