The post-holder will act as a HCPC registered Biomedical Scientist providing scientific services to patients and customers to aid Pathological diagnosis.

The post holder will work within Adult Histopathology. Work will involve specimen reception, cut-up, main laboratory, immunohistochemistry, electron microscopy, osteo-articular and ophthalmic pathology. The post holder may be required to work within the paediatric histology departments as required, by prior arrangement

The post holder will be expected to take part in the day to day running of the department and rotate through all areas of the laboratory.

 

We are seeking highly motivated and committed Biomedical Scientist with excellent attention to detail and strong communication skills to join our bank.

 

You will be working as a Band 5 Biomedical Scientist, you will be responsible for the planning and management of your own caseload, service delivery using an impact-based model of clinical decision making, actively contributing to service development and providing supervision and support to junior staff members.
