In 2002 Inclusion was created as part of the award winning South Staffordshire & Shropshire Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust, now known as Midlands Partnership Foundation NHS Trust. It was developed to provide evidence based innovative services to beneficiaries across England with the flexibility to provide local solutions to local communities but with the governance and commitment to quality of the NHS.

Successful in its endeavors, Inclusion has grown to both substance misuse and mental health services in the community, residential and prisons. Employing over 500 staff, including Psychiatrists, Counsellors, Doctors, Nurses, Therapists, Drug & Alcohol Recovery Workers, Peer Mentors and Volunteers. We provide services to in excess of 19,000 services users per annum across the Home Counties, Midlands, East of England up to the North of England.

The range of services we provide allows us to work with our service users in prisons, extending this into community settings, tackling both substance misuse and mental health concerns. Improving Access to Psychological Therapies

IAPT Trainee High Intensity CBT Therapist

AfC Band 6 (plus 5% fringe HCAS)

37.5 Hours per Week, Fixed-Term Post: 12 months

We are looking to recruit Trainee High Intensity Practitioners to work in Inclusion Thurrock IAPT service which serves the whole of Thurrock, Essex. This service provides high quality evidence-based psychological therapies in primary care across the Thurrock locality, based in surgeries, health centres and other community or health hubs.

This intensive training post will equip the post holder to provide Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT) to patients with a range of complex common mental health problems for which CBT is demonstrated to be clinically effective.

  • The trainee CBT position includes undertaking the PG Diploma in High Intensity CBT at University of East Anglia, Norwich.
  • If you are invited to interview, you must bring with you any academic qualifications, certificates and evidence you hold, as applicable. Offers cannot be made without this information.
  • If you do not have a BABCP recognised core profession you must follow the KSA procedure and prepare your portfolio prior to interview. You should then bring it to your interview. This will be scrutinised by one of the course KSA assessors, who may ask you further questions about your portfolio at interview, and if you are successful they will give you feedback on which areas require further work to be completed by the end of the training. You will submit your portfolio again during the course to be marked after undertaking the required actions.
  • The post requires travel to and overnight stays in Norwich.

The Inclusion Thurrock IAPT Service is an exciting primary care mental health service that is building on it’s success since starting in April 2016. We provide an integrated primary care mental health service for the people of Thurrock, working as a multidisciplinary team to provide a range of effective, evidence-based treatments for common mental health problems.

Promoting excellence in the delivery of evidence-based psychological therapies, we are committed to supporting clinical training/development, supervision and support for all workers.

We are a very friendly team, committed to promoting the wellbeing of our workers, as well as our patients. We also work in partnership with Thurrock Mind to provide the first new IAPT service with associated Recovery College and are keen to develop the integration of these two unique and exciting ventures.

The service covers the whole of the Thurrock borough, so some travel may be required.
