Employer:

Department:

Location:

Salary:
£17,114 - £21636

We are Sirona care & health, a Community Interest Company committed to providing local communities with a range of high quality specialist health and social care services across South Gloucestershire, parts of Bristol and Bath and North East Somerset. For us, it’s about the personal approach; we take pride in what we do and deliver the high standard of care that we’d expect for ourselves and our families.

In return we offer an excellent range of benefits including generous holiday entitlement, paid enhancements for bank holiday/night working (where applicable), a contributory pension scheme (including, for some roles, the NHS pension scheme), a planned induction program, extensive learning and development opportunities, health and wellbeing programmes, flexible working patterns, staff excellence awards, in-house physiotherapy support and more!

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic and motivated senior administrator to be part of the new Single Point of Access (SPA) team for South Gloucestershire Adult Community Health Services, which will be going live in January 2019.

The SPA will be an important link for a wide range of external and internal services across South Gloucestershire, being the first point of contact and entry into Adult Community Services for a range of health and social care professionals, service-users, their relatives and carers and other stakeholders within Sirona and in the wider health community. Senior SPA Administrators will play a key role in co-ordinating services to provide patient care to local people as they leave hospital and within their own home. This will be achieved by providing comprehensive administrative support and signposting, under the supervision and guidance of the SPA Administrative Lead and clinical staff.

We will be looking for a confident team player, who displays excellent customer service skills to work with a range of internal and external individuals. The ideal candidate will be able to maintain these communication skills in a busy office environment. Additionally, they will need to be able to organise, plan and prioritise in an effective and methodical way, often with frequent interruptions. It is important that the candidate can work within a clear set of guidelines, following set processes to help facilitate patient care. Senior SPA Administrators will also be required to supervise and line manage other SPA Administrators, including providing one-to-one support and performance development reviews.

The successful candidate will need to show a high level of accuracy and confidentiality when using a range of IT systems, including EMIS. Previous experience of working in a busy office environment is essential and previous experience of working in a health or social care setting would be advantageous. The successful candidate will be educated to GCSE level or equivalent, including English and Mathematics.

The role is part of a mixed team of administrators and clinical staff and will be based in Corum Office Park, Warmley, Bristol. The post is fixed term, until October 2019, in order to cover maternity leave. The post will be part time and hours are negotiable, but must work to cover a 7 day rota that runs from 8.00am - 6.00pm, including bank holidays and weekends.
