Sheffield Children’s NHS Foundation Trust Estates Department currently provides an in-house service provision for the Trusts Estate portfolio of facilities.

We provide a comprehensive maintenance and repair service to the wider organisation and strive to continually improve our services.

We now have an opportunity to recruit a Maintenance Crafts persons (Plumbing / Mechanical) whose duties will be to carry out repairs, installation and planned maintenance of Plumbing / Systems and associated equipment across multiple site locations.

For specific scope of this role please consult the job description and the person specification.

You should hold a recognised mechanical and plumbing qualification and meet the essential qualification requirements, as detailed on the person specification. You should be fully conversant with Health & Safety issues within a workshop environment.

You will have good communication skills with the ability to be self-motivated and flexible.

In line with other NHS Organisations in the Yorkshire and Humber Region a successful candidate appointed into a post within this Trust will be required to pay the DBS check fee (£49). This is customarily payable over 4 months as a salary deduction once employed by the Trust. If you receive a conditional offer letter, complete your DBS application and later withdraw from the recruitment process, an invoice will be raised via the Trust's finance department to recoup the outlay.
