The Nurse Led Anticoagulation Service has a vacant Health Care Assistant post.  This is an exciting and challenging time within the Anticoagulation Service and there are opportunities for those who enjoy developing new ways of working.

The job function is to carry out assigned tasks in support of the Senior Nurses to support the effective delivery of nurse led Anticoagulation Therapy within the community setting.The main aim of this role is to undertake home visits unsupervised, carry out near patient testing and obtain venous samples of blood when required. The successful applicant will receive robust in service training.

The post is part time 22.5 hours per week.  NVQ Level 1 is essential or equivalent experience. The successful applicant must have a willingness to work towards NVQ Level 2 if not already achieved.

The service operates on a seven day working rota and you will be expected to cover weekends and bank holidays. The ability to commute within the Trust’s geographical area with access to an appropriate means of transport is essential.
