LAS CMT - Cardiology

Applications are invited for1 x LAS CMT from December 2018 for 5 months in Cardiology with a possibility of an extension.

Royal Papworth Hospital is an internationally recognised heart and lung hospital. Clinical services include the diagnosis, treatment and management of patients in three principal areas: Cardiology, Chest Medicine and Advanced Heart and Lung Failure, including Transplantation. We have an established reputation for innovative clinical developments underpinned by substantial research, development and education.

Royal Papworth Hospital is the largest cardiothoracic centre in the UK with over 2000 cardiac surgical procedures performed per year. We provide local cardiothoracic services for the Eastern region and also specialist national services including cardiothoracic transplantation, ventricular assist devices, pulmonary endarterectomy and ECMO. Papworth’s cardiology services include primary angioplasty, structural intervention, pacing and electrophysiology, imaging and heart failure.

Applicants should have MBBS, GMC registration and completed foundation competencies. MRCS and/or previous cardiothoracic experience would be an advantage.
