Matrons’ Administrator – Fixed Term Contract, 37.5 hours per week Band 3

Royal Papworth Hospital NHS Foundation Trust is the UK’s largest specialist cardiothoracic hospital and the Country’s main Heart and Lung transplant centre. We have an exciting opportunity for an experience administrator to undertake a fixed term contract of up to 12 months to cover maternity leave, starting February 2019.

 

We are looking for an experienced and committed administrator to support the Heads of Nursing and the Matron team across the whole hospital. This role will be based at our current site in Papworth Everard until April 2019 when the role will move to the new state of the art hospital on the Cambridge Biomedical Campus.

The overall purpose of the role is to support the Matrons with administrative duties to ensure their time is optimised to continue to provide high quality patient care. The main duties include diary management, organising meetings including minute taking, day to day management of the Matron Team, ordering supplies as necessary and working with the Ward Sisters and Ward Sister’s administrators to generate monthly reports.

To be successful in this role you be able to demonstrate:

Excellent communication skills

Ability to pay close attention to detail

Experienced user of Microsoft applications

Ability to demonstrate diplomacy in a pressured environment
