We are seeking highly motivated, enthusiastic Healthcare Assistants with excellent communication skills to join our teams and develop their skills in an Acute hospital setting.

Previous experience is desirable in providing care in a hospital or care setting, although not essential. Excellent communication and organisational skills are essential and you should have a flexible approach to your working patterns.

You will be given full support from our fantastic education team who will provide a bespoke induction to your role prior to hitting the wards

Interviews will be held on Tuesday 22nd January 2019 at our Halton Hospital site.

Please note pay progression is subject to the NHS Agenda for Change Pay Progression provisions applicable from 1st April 2019.

All posts are subject to NHS Employment Check Standards including a DBS check, if applicable. Depending on the classification of the post, in-line with DBS guidelines, a Standard or Enhanced disclosure will be required which may include a check of the ‘Vulnerable Adults List’, the ‘Children’s List’ and/or the Independent Safeguarding Authorities (ISA’s) barred lists.

A charge of £39 (Standard) or £60 (Enhanced) will be made by the successful candidate which will be deducted from the first 3 months’ salary. In addition to this, you will also be required to re-pay any future costs that may arise in relation to DBS fees.

NB. Current employees of Warrington and Halton Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust who have had a satisfactory DBS check, carried out by this Trust during the last 3 years, will not be required to undertake a new one. Where staff have not had a check (classification appropriate to the post offered) within the last 3 years, they will be required to undertake and pay for this, as per the arrangements above.


Disclosure and Barring Service Check

This post is subject to the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act (Exceptions Order) 1975 and as such it will be necessary for a submission for Disclosure to be made to the Disclosure and Barring Service (formerly known as CRB) to check for any previous criminal convictions.
