The LCH community pain management service (Spinefit+) is wanting to recruit a health care trainer to join the team. This is an exciting opportunity to join this innovative, dynamic multidisciplinary team (MDT).

The team work with adults who are experiencing persistent pain, providing expert assessment and individualised pain management plans, enabling patients' to improve their quality of life.

About you

We are looking to recruit a Health Care Trainer, who will have a multi-functional role within the MDT. You will be the first point of contact for the patient within the service, providing a telephone appointment ensuring every patient is clear as to what the service can offer. You will guide patients to complete identified screening tools independently or offer support to complete the tools as required using a digital app.

You will also be responsible for developing personal exercise programmes with patients delivering group based pain management sessions and contributing to MDT case reviews.

All members of the MDT contribute directly to the ongoing development of the service, ensuring the service continues to provide the best evidence based, high quality care.

Due to the nature of the role it is essential that applicants are able to travel independently across the locality and have access to a suitable vehicle for business purposes. If necessary adjustments can be considered in accordance with the Equality Act 2010.

If you are successful in being offered a position which involves working with patients, you will be required to undertake a Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check. The level of check required is dependent upon the position that you have applied for. The Trust will administer the DBS check on your behalf and will recover the cost (Enhanced £48.43 or Standard £30.43) from your salary. There will be no charge if you are enrolled in the DBS Update Service or a current employee of the Trust.

The level of check required is dependent upon the position that you have applied for. The Trust will administer the DBS check on your behalf and will recover the cost (Enhanced £48.83 or Standard £30) from your salary. There will be no charge if you are enrolled in the DBS Update Service.
