Mental Health Nurses at HMP Humber Mental Health Team

CHCP CIC currently provides integrated offender healthcare services across HMP Hull and HMP Humber. We deliver a community-based model, bringing clinical expertise to the patients in our care, working closely with a multi-agency workforce.

If you are seeking an exciting role within a progressive mental health service, we are looking for enthusiastic and motivated nurses to apply for a both positions available at HMP Humber to support the Offender Health Care Service.

The prison recovery model involves working with people who have a higher concentration of health issues, including substance misuse and mental health problems.

As a prison-based Mental Health Nurse you will undertake a number of tasks, including:

Complete triage assessments and care planning

  • Managing a caseload of primary and secondary care clients
  • Working closely with the teams psychiatrist
  • Supporting and administering prescribed medication
  • Delivering 1:1 interventions
  • Participating in the teams meetings including the weekly MDT
