32.25 Hours a week initially, with possiblity of increase to full time hours at a later date (part time hours considered).

 

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a dynamic and motivated person, who enjoys working with children and their families to join our friendly and progressive team on Ward 4.

Ward 4 is a busy 20 bed medical ward within Sheffield Children’s Hospital. We currently care for children between the ages of 0-18 years with a wide range of medical conditions.

Our philosophy enhances family centred care, working in partnership with parents and carers and the wider multi-disciplinary team.

There will be an opportunity to develop practical nursing skills to enable the successful candidate to assist qualified nurses in the delivery of care to children and their families. The successful candidate will need excellent communication and organisational skills and will be able to work well with all members of the multidisciplinary team to enable everyone to provide excellent care to patients and families.

 

The post will include shift work involving a mix of days and nights from 07.00-19.30 and 19.00-07.30.

Previous experience in a paediatric clinical environment is essential.
