We at Warrington & Halton Hospital are looking for staff nurses to join our fabulous team. Whether you have recently finished your training or have a wealth of experience, we would like you to apply for a position with us, as long as you are a conscientious, adaptable and committed nurse who is passionate about their work.

The Role

We have full and part time permanent posts in the following areas:

  • Ward A6- Colo-rectal and General Surgery.
  • Ward A5- Urology and General Surgery.
  • Surgical Assessment Unit
  • Ward C22- Gastroenterology
  • Ward B4- General Surgical Ward
  • DCU- General Surgery

As you can see, there is a wide variety of disciplines that you can choose to specialise in, which means you will have complete control over your career here at WHH.

Current employees of Warrington and Halton Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust who have had a satisfactory DBS check, carried out by this Trust during the last 3 years, will not be required to undertake a new one. Where staff have not had a check (classification appropriate to the post offered) within the last 3 years, they will be required to undertake and pay for this, as per the arrangements above.


Disclosure and Barring Service Check

This post is subject to the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act (Exceptions Order) 1975 and as such it will be necessary for a submission for Disclosure to be made to the Disclosure and Barring Service (formerly known as CRB) to check for any previous criminal convictions.


Tier 2 Certificate of Sponsorship
