An exciting opportunity has arisen for a highly motivated individual to join our caring and dynamic team delivering radiotherapy to a large and diverse population.

The department is the host for the East Midlands radiotherapy network and has excellent transport links around the region and with the rest of the country. Being based at the Royal Infirmary site you will be within walking distance of the vibrant and historical city centre of Leicester.

Equipment includes 3 Varian Clinac iX linear accelerators with OBI, respiratory gating and RapidArc, 1 Varian TrueBeam linac, ARIA Oncology management system, Prosoma Virtual Simulation, Varian Eclipse treatment planning system, 2 Canon wide bore CT scanner with 4DCT, XStrahl superficial unit and Varian GammaMed brachytherapy unit. A replacement programme to include 3 Varian TrueBeam linacs and a CT scanner is expected to commence in 2020.

We continuously evaluate our service and the post holder will be expected to lead on ensuring there is a coherent staff development plan to support service improvement activities .

Our close links to Macmillan mean that we are committed to supporting our patients and delivering the Recovery package. One of the main duties of the post holder will be the management of the radiotherapy service user experience to ensure that we continue to receive positive feedback results.
