An exciting opportunity has arisen for a highly motivated and enthusiastic individual to work within the Leicester Hospitals Charity team.

 

Leicester Hospitals Charity exists to support patients, their carers; and the NHS staff who look after them in Leicester, Leicestershire, Rutland and beyond. We undertake targeted fundraising campaigns and effective management of donations, to provide additional resources, assets and skills which link closely with the strategic aims of University Hospitals of Leicester NHS Trust for the benefits of our patients.

 

The successful candidate will join us at a pivotal time working to deliver the Charity's strategy and will be an integral member of the team to achieve our stretching ambition to support the Hospitals to achieve "Caring at it's Best".

 

The Major Giving Manager is an important link between the hospital charity and potential funders within the local community. The jobholder will play a leading role in maximising income through targeted trust applications, major donor recruitment and development.

 

Key responsibilities of the role will include face to face solicitation of high net worth individuals, framing proposals for support, facilitating cultivation events and working closely with the Trust to agree defined projects that require internal commitment and substantial financial support.

 

The post holder will require strong knowledge of major giving fundraising and considerable networking working skills with the ability to identify influential contacts both internally and externally. The ability to convey complex messages with confidence and with powers of persuasion is essential.
