Senior MSK Physiotherapist (Band 6)

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a skilled and enthusiastic Physiotherapist to join the MSK Physiotherapy Outpatient Team at Worcestershire Acute Hospitals NHS Trust. This is a permanent, part time position (36.9 hr per week) and will be based at Worcester Royal Hospital. The successful applicant dependent on workload demands must be willing to work / support across the Trust. The exact hours / working times can be discussed at interview.

We are looking for a Physiotherapist with experience of working in MSK outpatients within the NHS, who possesses advanced skills in the assessment and treatment of MSK conditions. The post holder will also be required to be proactive and highly motivated in regard to their own development, be able to demonstrate sound clinical reasoning skills and a commitment to the provision of evidence-based practice.

The post holder will have the opportunity to manage a complex, mixed caseload of patients in a busy and friendly department. There will also be opportunities to run gym based group sessions and work in fracture clinics to offer initial assessment and advice to patients acutely following injury or procedure. The department also benefits from close working links with our Extended Scope Practitioner service who work in spinal, knee, shoulder and pain clinics.

Post holders will be supported in their continuing professional development by the very experienced and supportive team leads at Kidderminster Hospital; encouraged to take part in audit and to contribute to the development of others and the service.
