Solent NHS Trust is looking to recurite within the Information Management, Assurance and Compliance Team (Information Governance), an Information Assurance and Compliance Team Manager (to manage the Compliance Assurance part of the team).
An ideal candidate will have experience of providing team leadership and service engagement to effect and / or support change.
Previous Data Protection and / or Information Management experience and knowledge is desirable for this position, but not essential. An understanding of the importance of Data Protection in working practice is expected as a baseline, but training and mentoring can be provided to enhance this area of understanding and experience by the Trust’s Head of Information Governance and Security (Data Protection Officer).
However, an ideal candidate will have experience of demonstrating strong service engagement to effect change, project management experience and managerial leadership.
For this post, you will need to hold a full UK driving licence and have access to the use of a car.
The Information Management, Assurance and Compliance Team’s main responsibilities and duties are to work and support all staff and services within the Trust, to ensure that they are educated in Data Protection and supporting legislation, that this is adhered to and we support our staff in protecting all data held by the organisation.
The main purpose of the team is to ensure compliance, develop a learning culture around information compliance, quality improvement and support all services within the Trust in the workstreams assigned to the team (as outlined in the Job Description)
Additionally, we are here to support patients, staff and the wider community, in understanding and exercising their rights, accessing information they are entitled to and providing an open and transparent environment, with regards to how we process data.
Our main working collaborations are all clinical and non-clinical services, as Information Governance is a key principle in all working practices; as well as external Health and Social Care partners, to support transition of care and integrated care working. Working with and supporting the wider public is also key to our work.
