Talking Change is a well-established and high performing Increasing Access to Psychological Therapy (IAPT) service provided by Solent NHS Trust and commissioned by NHS Portsmouth CCG.

We are looking for PA support for the head of service/consultant psychologist. The role will involve managing the lead psychologist's diary and the general processes within the primary care psychology service as appropriate.

The service was launched in 2009 to provide evidence based psychological interventions for the population of Portsmouth in primary care. More recently the service expanded to help meet the need of the patients with comorbid physical health conditions. Talking Change has supported a number of High and Low Intensity trainees to complete the training programmes provided by the University of Southampton and enabled them to move forward in their therapy careers. Talking Change has also integrated the Practice Counsellors within the team to provide a single point of access for the population of Portsmouth.

We now have a clinical team comprising of therapists, practitioners and counsellors. The clinical services provided to clients are supported by competent, friendly and efficient Admin team.

This is an attractive role for anyone with PA experience who would like to develop their skills within an innovative, high performing and friendly team. The role involves working closely with other team leads and staff as needed to help meet key targets, offer a compassionate and caring service to our patients and strive for excellence at all times.

The candidate should be able to demonstrate good communicational, organisational and interpersonal qualities. They will need to be able to prioritise the workload, adopt a flexible and positive attitude to the role, show initiative, and have a friendly approach to dealing with staff and visitors to the site.

Please contact Dr Mahdi Ghomi, consultant psychologist, for further information on 0300 123 3934.

We will contact you via NHS Jobs if you are shortlisted for interview. Candidates selected for interview will be contacted before the given interview date; therefore you should check your emails regularly including junk mail folders. Please be advised that we may choose to close adverts early should we receive a high number of applications.
