NHS Blood and Transplant (NHSBT) is an integral part of the NHS. Operating a network of 14 blood centres across England and North Wales, we collect 2.5 million units of blood a year from 2 million volunteer donors. These donations are converted into safe and effective blood components, blood products and tissues for transfusion to patients.

Your remit will be to assist the Transport First Line Manager to provide the efficient and effective operational running of the Transport Service. This will mean taking ownership of all Courier activity in order to ensure optimum utilisation at minimum cost and building strong links with the Issue Department to ensure timely delivery of products to hospitals.

You will have the ability to demonstrate recent experience of a supervisory role. What’s certain is that you’re a competent user of IT, a real team player and dedicated to meeting deadlines on your own initiative, even when under pressure.
