An exciting opportunity has arisen for a 30 hour per week social worker post within The Community Intensive Rehab Team (CIRT) providing rehab focused support to patients in the community.


The Community Intensive Rehabilitation Team (CIRT) is embedded within the Solent NHS mental healthcare system. It sits alongside the Community Mental Health Recovery Teams. We work with Portsmouth residents; aged over 18 that have complex psychosis and related severe mental health conditions; a primary diagnosis of a psychotic illness (including schizophrenia, bipolar disorder, psychotic depression, delusional disorders, and schizoaffective disorder) plus severe, treatment-resistant symptoms (positive and/or negative) and/or coexisting mental health problems such as severe anxiety, depressive or obsessive-compulsive symptoms or substance misuse.

The successful candidate would be professionally registered and be supported to work autonomously within professional guidelines and the overall framework of the team’s policies and procedures. This exciting role is also open to newly qualified social workers or those due to qualify who will receive support completing the assessed and supported year in employment (ASYE).

This is a part time role for 30 hours p/week, to be worked between Monday-Friday 9am-5pm. Patterns of work to be discussed at the interview.
