In addition to transplantation, Royal Papworth Hospital has the UK’s largest Respiratory Support and Sleep Centre (RSSC) and is one of five UK centres providing Extra Corporeal Membrane Oxygenation (ECMO) to patients experiencing severe respiratory failure. It is also the only centre in the UK for a number of specialist services including Pulmonary Endarterectomy and Balloon Pulmonary Angioplasty (BPA).

Administrative Assistant
Band 2
Part time -14 hours per week

Cardiac Physiology is a friendly and supportive team that requires an administration assistant to support with the day to day clinical service. The role will include contact with patients and their relatives, GP’s, external and internal medical staff and administration staff. This is an expanding department and the role, has the opportunity for development and progression.

Duties will include:

  • Booking Appointments
  • Calling Patients
  • Answering Incoming Calls
  • Reception Duties
  • Data Entry
  • CRM Remote Monitor Distribution
  • Ensuring CRM Equipment is Logged and kept to a high standard
  • Providing a high quality and patient focused support
  • Ensuring the Electronic Medical records(EMR) and the devices database Fysicon are up to date.
  • To coordinate with the booking office,multi discipline team (MDT) coordinators and research staff to ensure all booking processes are accurate and as streamlined as possible.
