Whether you’re a Band 6 already or an experienced Band 5 Endoscopy Nurse, Manchester University NHS Foundation Trust has just the job. That’s because, right now, we’re looking to recruit nurses for our Endoscopy Unit here at our Trafford Site.

We are excited to be increasing activity by moving to a 7 day service improving patient access and experience.

Join us and you’ll have the opportunity to work in our state of the art unit which opened in January 2018 making us one of the largest Endoscopy Departments in the North West. Trafford currently excels in diagnostic and surveillance endoscopy and providing quality patient centered care and has recently introduce a new trans-nasal endoscopy service. We work very closely with Endoscopy situated at Oxford Road and, in partnership, we are working hard to commence an Endoscopy Academy for both nurses and doctors, coupled with a satellite teaching facility.

With access to 4 procedure rooms, our procedures are varied and diverse and include diagnostics, therapeutics and surveillance, gastroscopy, flexible sigmoidoscopy , colonoscopy, PEG insertion, bronchoscopy / EBUS, delivering high quality care to our patients. What’s more, we also host the NHS Bowel Cancer Screening Programme (BCSP) so there is a real range of specialisms to develop your skills and experience.

To succeed, you’ll need to be committed to delivering high quality, patient focused care with pride and respect, have excellent interpersonal skills and be able to provide evidence of personal and professional development. With recent acute NHS experience in Endoscopy as a must, we’ll train you into the Band 6 role along the way, you’ll be supported by our in-house endoscopy educator with access to some of the most sought after bespoke courses to progress your knowledge and experience in this field.
