A great opportuniy exists for an experienced nurse who will have a passion to deliver the best care for our patients on the ward, working as part of the leadership team to ensure the delivery of high quality, safe care.

Snowdon Neuro Rehabilitation Unit, which is based at Western Community Hospital is a 14 bedded unit which specialises in the treatment of adults with physical and cognitive impairment following a recent neurological event or a long-term neuorlogical condition. We offer a 24 hour, 7 day a week service, providing specialist in-patient goal orientated neurological rehabilitation. The service includes multidisciplinary assessment and treatment programmes in a specially adapted mixed sex, therapeutic environment.

Job Responsibilities

  • Responsible for co ordinating the work of the team, influencing clinical decisions and monitoring the quality of patient care provided throught utilising and maintaining the expert clinical knowledge relevant to own filed of practice under pinned by theory and experience.
  • To develop and maintain a culture of service improvement which promotes quality and safety and striving to do better.

This is in line with the requirements set out in the MNC code which require all registered nurses to: prioritise people: Practice effectively; Preserve safety; Promote professionalism and trust.

 

You will have the ability to provide and receive complex, sensitive information to patients/relatives and colleagues with empathy, persuasion and reassurance, ensure information is clearly understood, where there may be barriers to understanding.
