The Role

An exciting opportunity to work as a key senior leader within an agile social enterprise providing urgent, community and childrens services to communities within Nottingham. The Assistant Director of Finance has responsibility for:

  • Providing high level expert finance support to the Nottingham City Care Board and Senior Management Team
  • Managing, supporting and developing the finance and procurement teams on a day to day basis, coordinating the production of timely and accurate business information
  • Providing specialist professional and technical advice relating across all financial matters to internal and external parties
  • Supporting budget managers and senior service leads to be aware and understand the Nottingham CityCare financial position and embed financial decision making into operational decisions
  • Ensuring that the financial reporting systems in place accurately and clearly reflect the ongoing financial position of Nottingham CityCare
  • Overseeing and ensuring that Nottingham CityCare maintains effective financial controls throughout the organisation
