An exciting opportunity has for a Clinical Nurse Trainer with close working relationships with Digital and Operational teams due to a release of funding in the NHS to support the Digital Care Homes agenda. Based from any of our CHoC offices in Cumbria, the role is fixed term for 12 months working 22.5 hours a week. Hours and location can be agreed with the successful  candidate on appointment. 

This role will support a system wide project to implement the Health Call Digital Care Home solution into 94 care and residential homes in North Cumbria. The Health Call Digital Care Home solution enables the transfer of clinical information and clinical observations using SBAR and NEWS2 from care and residential homes to NHS providers and their clinical information systems.

The Clinical Nurse Trainer will develop, deliver and evaluate high quality, evidence based bespoke training programmes to support the deployment of Health Call Digital Care Home and to assure the competence of care home staff. They will support patient safety and clinical effectiveness providing expert evidence based clinical advice and support staff within the wider multidisciplinary and multiagency teams.

As the dedicated clinical resource the Clinical Nurse Trainer will deliver training and offer support to care home staff, via both face to face and on line methods.

This role is key to giving carers' the confidence and skills they need to use the equipment, take and record observations and effectively communicate their observations to health care professionals

This is an exciting role to help us grow our Technology Enabled Care capabilities with the aim of improving our patient care within North Cumbria’s care and residential homes.

We are looking for a highly motivated individual who is able to work independently, use their own initiative and prioritise their workload. They will be supported by other members of the Digital and Operational Team.

Further to the Government’s announcement on the 4th August 2021- from the 11th November 2021 it is a legal requirement for all persons entering Care Home’s to be able to provide evidence that they have been double vaccinated or COVID19 or produce medical exemption.
