Following the redesign of our current central Rostering function, gtd healthcare are looking to expand the current team by recruiting 3 new Rostering and Workforce Coordinators on a full time basis, working on a rotational shift pattern across Monday – Sunday to support the operational team.

This is an exciting opportunity to join an evolving team, helping to shape and develop a newly created role.

The Rostering function is responsible for the planning and scheduling of the shift rotas for both clinical and operational colleagues. The team works at a fast pace to overcome rota challenges, often at short notice, and the ideal candidate for this role would be someone who works well under pressure, and can effectively take ownership for their portfolio/workload, whilst working alongside other members of the team to find solutions.

The Rostering & Workforce Coordinator will have the following key responsibilities (full role & duties can be found in the job description):

• Take ownership for the overall planning and resourcing of your own staff portfolio (e.g. medical, clinical or operational) including working closely with team members to ensure that services are fully resourced and run smoothly.
• Ensure staffing meets demand requirements and provide rationale and assurance for reasons where staffing model has exceeded required levels.
• Arrange shift cover for own portfolio, allocating staff annual leave according to policy and recording staff sickness/absence data appropriately.
• Work with the Workforce Administrator to ensure cover is provided via recruitment agency where required.
• Use information provided by the Workforce/BI Team to conduct informed assessments of predicted staffing levels, ensuring that bank shifts are advertised accurately and in a timely manner.
• Liaise with Service/Clinical Leads and HR to ensure staff are contracted to 80% or more of shifts within each rota in your portfolio. Highlight opportunities for training, upskilling or recruitment.
• Complete regular audits between WORKSuite and other related systems to ensure that the data matches across these and is accurate, supporting the resolution of any errors as required e.g. shift patterns.
