Certificate of Eligibility of Specialist Registration (CESR in Emergency Medicine)

CESR Cohort 3 follows the successful recruitment of Eight applicants into Cohorts 1 and 2. This post will include secondments in Anaesthetics, ITU, Acute Medicine and Paediatrics; with a specifically designed teaching and training programme.

Leicester is also the home of #EM3 and provides evidence of our heavy investment in Emergency Medicine training packages tailored to suit your needs.

This is an exciting time to work in Leicester: a new Emergency floor has been built costing around £48 million. This consists of the Emergency Department and Urgent Care centres combining into a brand new state of the art department which was officially opened by HRH Princess Anne in March 2018. The new build is a state of the art facility, with the adult department including a large open main entrance/Reception area, initial assessment streams, minor injuries and illnesses, majors and Emergency Room. Phase 2 includes the development and combined workforce of our acute physician led services, this is a combined department including a rapid assessment unit, acute care bay, elderly frail unit, acute frailty unit and Emergency Decisions Unit.
