Spire Manchester has an exciting opportunity an experienced Senior Biomedical Scientist to join our Histology department.

Based at our brand new purpose built Laboratory 1.5 miles offsite from Spire Manchester in Didsbury – you will have a responsibility for dissection, embedding, microtome, IHC and performing histology tasks on our analysers. You will manage a daily workload, hitting targets within a suitable time frame whilst maintaining safety and Quality at all time.

The senior will be expected to partake heavily within the Quality Management System and keep their documents and designated assets up to date as well as partake in audits completed in a timely manner.

Who we are looking for

  • You must be a HCPC registered Biomedical Scientist.
  • MSc Biomedical science or equivalent.
  • Experience in maintaining a QMS is essential.
  • It would be highly desirable that you understand the legislative requirements of a histology laboratory.
