An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Service Manager to support the Pharmacy Department at the University Hospitals of Leicester. We are one of the largest NHS healthcare providers in England providing a range of local, regional and national services across three sites.

 

The Pharmacy Department provides a full range of clinical and supply services operating across all three main hospital sites. These include dispensing for inpatients and discharge, aseptic dispensing, procurement, medicines information, home care and clinical trials, an extensive clinical pharmacy service and support our 3 hospital vaccination hubs. We are currently leading several large projects within the service making it an exciting time to join our team

 

You will support the department predominantly with Leicester Hospitals’ Vaccine Service alongside service redesign, modernization and new ways of working to meet the ever-growing levels of patient activity and service demands. Therefore a logical thinker with strong organisational and influencing skills will be required for this role. You will work closely with the General Manager, Chief Pharmacist and Deputy Chief Pharmacists as well as operational and clinical leads from other services to ensure effective service development, operational management and delivery of a high quality service.

 

You will be an inspiring and credible operational leader with the energy, drive and determination to successfully respond to the changing expectations and needs of the department and of the trust. You should have excellent interpersonal skills, enabling you to empower and lead others to ensure the delivery of a high quality pharmacy service.

This role is offered on a Secondment/Fixed Term Basis for a period of up to 6 months.
