We provide out of hours (OOH) primary care and Extended Access appointments to the population of Cumbria (500,000 people over a land mass of 2,613 square miles), working out of 12 clinical sites. Our core bases are:

  • Kendal

  • Wigton

CHoC have recently been awarded a long term contract to provide general medical services at Windermere and Bowness Medical Practice. As a result of this we are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Treatment Room Practice Nurse to join the team and to help shape the future of daytime services within our practice.

About you:

As a passionate Treatment Room Practice Nurse, you will be committed to delivering high quality care - just like us!

The role is to provide and maintain a high standard of nursing care for patients as well as providing nursing assistance to the doctors and other members of the primary healthcare team

The role:

You will provide comprehensive healthcare sensitive to the needs of the Windermere and Bowness Medical Practice patient population. 

The role will include skills and role expected of a Treatment Room Practice Nurse including: 

  • Hypertension Monitoring 
  • Cytology
  • Suture and surgical clip removal
  • ECGs
  • Travel Vaccination and Adult/Child Vaccination 
  • Dressings

Hours of work:

This is a permanent role with 10 hours per week available within the practice, on Monday 1pm - 6pm and Tuesday 2.30pm - 7.30pm.
