Senior Nurse – Band 7 Fulltime

We are calling all aspiring nurses who are passionate about developing a rewarding and exciting career in CAMHS Eating Disorders!

As part of an exciting expansion of our award winning specialist CAMHS Eating Disorder team, we are looking to recruit a substantive fulltime band 7 senior Nurse to our supportive and dynamic team.

The team currently consists of psychiatry, psychology, psychotherapy, family therapy, dietetic and nursing staff who work closely with outpatient, inpatient and adult services. We offer early specialist assessment and intervention using evidence based approaches to young people up to the age of 18 and their family/carers. The teams are centrally based at Mawson House, Leicester.

The team has recently expanded to offer home intervention to young people with complex needs and are in the process of establishing a pilot to support young people with ARFID (Avoidance Restrictive Food Intake Disorder).

The post holder will take a lead role within our cohesive MDT to provide clinical and operational leadership in order to support the objectives outlined in the national strategy for access and waiting time standards for young people with eating disorders. We are hoping to attract candidates with previous experience of working with eating disorders who can offer operational and clinical leadership to our expanding team.

The service is research active and has engaged in some exciting local, national and international research opportunities. There is a strong expectation that, as a senior nurse, you will demonstrate well developed values based leadership skills in keeping with the Trust vision. You will play a significant role in helping us achieve the team vision of delivering high quality, innovative and effective treatments for young people diagnosed with eating disorders (predominantly anorexia nervosa and bulimia nervosa).

We take pride in working together to maintain a supportive and friendly workplace that enables our staff to thrive and influence meaningful change to the lives of the young people and families accessing our service. We are especially keen to hear from candidates who reflect the diverse communities we serve in Leicester, Leicestershire and Rutland.

Informal enquiries and visits are welcomed. Please contact;
