Locala – Employing around 1500 people who are all committed to delivering the very best services to patients. Our team are part of the community and have often cared for generations within the same family.

Created - in 2011 to take on the NHS community healthcare services previously provided as part of Kirklees Primary Care Trust. There was an ambition and determination to be flexible and innovative. Those services care for, and support people, from before birth to end of life, ranging from health visitors to physiotherapy, and sexual health to district nursing, as well as dental care, school nurses, and foot care.

The Opportunity

Administration Officer x 2

37.5 hours per week including weekends offering a 7 day service

The Role:-

We are looking for two dynamic individuals to support Urgent and Intermediate Care Services in Locala, working across teams that provide admission avoidance and early supported discharge.

The role will be varied, supporting Managers and Clinicians to ensure deadlines are met and tasks are completed which will require interaction with other teams within Locala and the wider community. The successful applicants will be reliable and provide a senior confidential, quality administration to the service, deal with correspondence and the effective dissemination of information; facilitate service meetings, including minute taking, recording attendance and timely dissemination of agendas/papers.

They will also ensure the smooth running of the administration service and be part of an admin hub ensuring all areas are covered daily and regularly review work allocation systems with the Administration Leads/Team Managers/Service Managers/Clinical Team to ensure that the administration team works efficiently and effectively.

Receiving and dealing with telephone enquiries and referrals from patients, the public, staff, and other Health Care Providers will require the successful applicants to have a sensitive manner and excellent communication skills.

Working with and covering for the Admin duties across the Unplanned and Intermediate Care Services including OPAT, START, Rapid Discharge Team, Bed Bases, Reablement, Discharge to Assess.
