Southern Health is one of the largest Foundation Trusts in the UK, specialising in mental health, adult and child community health and learning disabilities.


Seeking a new team member to work across two step-up, step-down community rehabilitation wards in Gosport War Memorial Hospital, Hampshire. Working alongside another experienced Specialty Doctor, an Advanced Nurse Practitioner and overseen by a Community Geriatrics Consultant and a Consultant Nurse in Frailty, you will become part of an expanding and outward looking team. Opportunities to work in the Sultan Assessment Unit and provide community assessments will be available, as these increasingly become part of our community supporting service.

As we maintain close links with Portsmouth Hospitals University Trust, applicants with a wish to work in both community and acute trust settings should ring to discuss opportunities. SHFT will also support our Specialty Doctors to progress their skills and requirements to achieve the new Specialist Doctor grade, if this is your aim.
