An opportunity has arisen for a creative and energetic Technician to join our Education and Training Team, an influential individual who can inspire people to achieve their potential and shape the future of Pharmacy.

As a team player with a flair for communication, you will liaise with the E&T team Clinical Leads, Section Heads and Supervisors throughout pharmacy, analysing the training needs of individuals and working with others to meet those needs.

We are looking for some-one with a wide range of experience, skills and personal attributes, a role model with an approachable and supportive nature who can recognise different learning styles and adapt training methods to achieve positive outcomes.

This post provides an excellent opportunity for Technician’s with a clinical background who have a desire to develop their coaching mentoring and leadership skills. Sharing their experience and working within current GPhC Standards the post holder will facilitate the development of Pre-Registration Trainee Pharmacy Technicians and Pharmacy Support Staff equipping them with the knowledge and skills required to achieve their qualification and practice competently within their role.

The role of Lead Education and Training Technician requires a confident person, a problem solver, someone who can comfortably question, constructively challenge others and be able to make difficult decisions at both ward and departmental level. The role requires involvement in regional and national groups driving change and coordinating NVQ levels 2 & 3 and apprenticeships and a degree of managerial and supervisory responsibility for Pre-Registration Trainee Pharmacy Technicians and Pharmacy Support Staff.

Candidates must be registered as a Pharmacy Technician with the GPhC, have an approved accredited checking qualification and hold an NVQ Assessors Qualification.
