Emergency Nurse Practitioner

 

TRAINEE EMERGENCY NURSE PRACTITIONER - PAEDIATRIC

Band 6

FULL-TIME

We are looking for a Children’s Trainee Emergency Nurse Practitioner who is committed to working as part of our Urgent Care Team delivering an excellent, caring service to our patients.

We currently have a multidisciplinary workforce made up primarily of Nurse Clinicians, Emergency Nurse Practitioners trained in both Adult and Paediatric disciplines and Doctors

The main patient groups are Patients with Minor Injury and Minor illness. The Practitioners/Clinicians manage these Patients who present to the Urgent Care Centre with an undifferentiated diagnosis through a process of assessment, formulation of a clinical management plan and on to discharge or transfer for definitive care.

  • RN Child Qualification
  • Experience working within an Urgent Care/Treatment Centre, Walk in Centre or Accident and Emergency Department
  • A qualification in the assessment of minor injuries/illness/clinical examination/non-medical prescribing
  • A passion for delivering high quality patient care
  • Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills
  • The ability to deliver safe, effective and compassionate care
  • A commitment to continual personal and professional development

As a Children’s Trainee Emergency Nurse Practitioner, there is the potential for cross site working within the Warrington site in the main Emergency Department supporting the Paediatric ED and Primary Care areas

A charge of £60 (Enhanced) will be made by the successful candidate which will be deducted from the first 3 months’ salary. In addition to this, you will also be required to re-pay any future costs that may arise in relation to DBS fees.
