Locum Consultant Paediatricians x 2 - Fixed Term Contracts for 6 months

(8 - 10PAs)

Applications are invited for two Locum Consultant Paediatricians at St Peter’s Hospital, Chertsey. Ashford & St. Peter’s Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust is the largest provider of acute services to residents of Surrey, totalling more than 380,000 people.

Our main catchment area is North West Surrey, including the towns of Chertsey, Woking, Walton-on-Thames, Weybridge, Ashford and Staines-upon-Thames, along with parts of Hounslow and Surrey Heath.

The post holders will join a team of 17 Consultant Paediatricians supporting the Paediatric Ward as second Attending Consultant and Paediatric A&E on a 1 in 5 basis Monday to Friday 09:00 – 17:00, in addition to this the post holders will work in Paediatric A&E Monday to Friday 17:00 – 23:00 1 in 7 and 13:00 – 23:00 Saturday and Sunday 1 in 7.

St. Peters Hospital is based just outside Chertsey in the green county of Surrey and close to local attractions such as Thorpe Park, RHS Gardens at Wisley, Mercedes Benz World and Windsor Castle. We are also close to the extensive motorway network, being close to junction 11 of the M25, and thus close to the M3 and M4 as well as being relatively close to Heathrow. Woking is just 4 miles away and is a main line station with very regular non-stop trains to London Waterloo in just 25 minutes, a door way to our vibrant capital city.

Our main sites are Ashford Hospital, TW15 3AA near to Heathrow Airport and St Peter’s Hospital, KT16 0RQ which is close to junction 11, M25. We also operate services at Woking Bradley Unit and Milford Hospital. A free shuttle bus service operates between Ashford & St Peter’s Hospitals.
