We provide out of hours (OOH) primary care and Extended Access appointments to the population of Cumbria (500,000 people over a land mass of 2,613 square miles), working out of 12 clinical sites. Our core bases are:

HR Manager - 12 months fixed term contract covering maternity leave

This is a new and interesting opportunity to join CHoC HR team as HR Manager. We are looking for someone with proven HR management experience to support the growing CHoC workforce as a key part of our small HR and Training team.

An HR generalist, you will be responsible for managing and taking an active role in the day to day functioning of the HR and Training teams. You will provide support and guidance to managers on a range of issues, policies and projects ranging from disciplinary and grievance matters to health and wellbeing. As the senior HR lead for the organisation you will be confident in providing advice to staff and managers at all levels, in line with up-to-date employment law requirements and organisational policies.

To thrive in this role you will need excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to build strong working relationships with management and staff. You will have a positive and proactive approach to problem-solving workforce issues, and be able to handle sensitive issues effectively.

The role is advertised as a full time, fixed term vacancy however we are happy to consider part time/flexible working (minimum 30 hours) and secondment arrangements.
