Bolton NHS Foundation Trust was formed in 2008 and, in 2011, we became an integrated provider with community health services joining the trust. Covering a catchment area that also incorporates parts of Bury, Wigan and Salford, we deliver hospital and community based services from the Royal Bolton Hospital in Farnworth and from 20 health centres across Bolton, to a catchment population of 320,000 people. We have a CQC rating as good overall and we have some key areas of outstanding practice with an outstanding rating for being well led at every level.

Bolton NHS Foundation Trust is an integrated provider of acute, intermediate and community health care serving the population of Bolton. This provides us with an opportunity for our services to work closely with our partners in primary care and the local authority to ensure a seamless service for our patients.

The Family Care Division aims to deliver the highest standards of care in maternity, sexual health, gynaecology and a range of acute and community children’s services. We deliver over 6,000 babies and carry around 1,500 gynaecological procedures each year. The Trust also has a tertiary level Neonatal Intensive Care Unit, enabling 1 in 4 women across Greater Manchester to receive in-utero transfer and birth at extreme premature gestation at Bolton.

We are seeking to recruit an experienced ,motivated and forward thinking sexual health nurse to join the integrated sexual health teams at Bolton and Salford . A flexible approach, which meets the changing needs of the service, is essential. You will work in all areas of the service across and be based at Lanceburn Healthcentre .

You will have a minimum of 2 years’ experience and a recognised sexual health qualification and/or reproductive health qualification. (You must be willing to undertake further training if you only possess one qualification.) and be able to meet the requirements of the person specification.

The service provides an integrated sexual, reproductive and HIV service as well as specialist clinics. It operates on a Hub and spoke model with the main hub located at Lanceburn Health centre and community clinics across the borough. We are seeking someone passionate and knowledgeable about sexual health and wellbeing who is flexible who enjoys working with a diverse patient group.
