NHS Midlands and Lancashire Commissioning Support Unit (MLCSU) is one of the largest CSUs in the country providing services to 50 CCGs as well as NHS providers, local authorities and other public sector organisations across the country.

MLCSU Continuing Healthcare Team (Staffordshire & Stoke on Trent) are committed to ensuring excellent healthcare for all individuals. We currently have a 5 month fixed term or secondment opportunity for an IPA/CHC Business Manager to work within our CHC team.

The post holder will be an integral member of the IPA/CHC team and will be responsible for operational delivery of the Business Management, Administration and Data/Reporting function to deliver a professional and robust service which will enable all elements of the CHC service to be delivered effectively on behalf of 6 CCGs in Staffordshire and Stoke on Trent.

This role will support the IPA/CHC Head of Service and be part of a professional, high quality, effective and flexible team. The role will be a fundamental part of delivering new ways of working by delivering consistent services, products, functions and information to the CCG customers and their service users. The role will be responsible for contributing to an effective delivery strategy for business management support services provided by the CSU, ensuring effective use of agreed resources and people, consistently delivering successful outcomes and helping to manage risk. The role will support the operational delivery of the wider CCG customer agenda through matrix working with colleagues and other key functional areas to ensure support services and customer requirements are fully met and used to inform the service delivery on behalf of our customers.

A key focus of the role will be around operational delivery and coordination across business, administration and performance management, activity reporting to include but not limited to clinical activity, Freedom of Information requests, Subject Access requests, finance and contract management.

The successful candidate will need to be resilient, have high attention to detail and a positive approach. You will ideally have knowledge and understanding of the National Framework for NHS Continuing Healthcare (Oct 2018) and NHS Funded Nursing Care, excellent communication and problem-solving skills, have a proven ability to develop and produce high quality documentation including complex spreadsheets for data analysis, whilst working to deadlines and targets.
