We are seeking an enthusiastic and highly motivated Physiotherapist to join our Paediatric Team. Due additional temporary funding, we have a 22 month until July 2023 fixed term contract Band 6 Paediatric physio. This would be an ideal opportunity for an existing Band 6 Physiotherapist who would like to broaden their experience by working into this speciality area or for a Band 5 physiotherapist seeking Band 6 experience

Role and responsibilities:

-To provide a high standard of physiotherapy care to a complex patient group in each Paediatric rotational area.

- To participate in the Band 6 Paediatric physio rotational scheme, which involves working across the Trust in a range of clinical settings both acute and community for 12 month periods.

- Rotational areas covered are: Cardiothoraic, Respiratory, Respiratory/Developmental, Cystic Fibrosis, Long Term Ventilation, Neuro-rehab, Haem-oncology, Rheumatology, Orthopaedics, Community Mainstream and Community pre-school.

- To be an active member of the appropriate multi-disciplinary team within the rotational area, providing specialist advice when needed

- Following a period of in-house assessment, induction and training (as appropriate), to be part of the emergency duty on-call and weekend rota.

Person spec:

Hold a degree or equivalent diploma in Physiotherapy

o Applicants should be Chartered physiotherapists with HCPC registration.

o Must be able to demonstrate that they have successfully completed rotations within the NHS at Band 5 grade in a broad range of specialities and be able to provide evidence of a commitment to CPD.

o Good time management and the ability to work closely with families are also essential requirements of this post.

  • As there is a community rotation the successful applicant will be required to have a driving licence

There is an on-call and weekend commitment with this post

Full time 37 hours 30 minutes/week
