An exciting opportunity has arisen for an Adults Community Research Nurse to join the Research and Improvement team within Solent NHS Trust. The contract is for a full time, permanent role where job share, secondment and part-time arrangements will be considered.

Our ideal candidate will have extensive community nursing experience with a keen interest in clinical research. Although research experience is desirable, it is not essential as full training will be provided.

We deliver high quality clinical trials within Solent services based in Portsmouth and Southampton and are committed to ensuring research is easily accessible to both patients and staff. We seek to build a culture of research within all our clinical teams and deliver research that has an impact on improving patient care.

This role will focus on identifying, setting up and delivering research studies, relating to Adult Community Services. They will be driven and proactive, willing to build on existing networks and links with clinical teams and community partners.

This post will be mainly based in Southampton but willingness to work flexibly and across other Trust sites is an essential aspect of this post. As well as working closely with the Adult services clinical team, the role will involve developing and maintaining strong working relationships with care homes, community groups and charities.

We are looking for someone with excellent communication, interpersonal and organisational skills whilst possessing an eye for detail. The ability to work well within a team, as well as the ability to work independently is an essential aspect to this role. In return we are offering a permanent contract, supportive working environment, clinical supervision and opportunities for development.
