ICT Technician -Southern House HQ, Otterbourne

We currently have an exciting opportunity for the right candidate to join our ICT Team to help deliver enterprise class technical support and participation in project delivery. The SCAS ICT Team operates in a fast paced, dynamic environment. The Digital / ICT department provides and maintains the technological solutions which enables the ambulance Trust to provide high level clinical care and advice to the community it serves

As a successful applicant you will have operational experience of working in an ICT operations environment at a ITIL Level 2/3 level within an infrastructure/technical team. The successful applicant will require, good communication and customer service skills. You must have a methodical, yet flexible approach to your work and be able to exercise responsible judgement alongside being well organised and highly motivated. Excellent documentation skills are a must.

We’re looking for the right candidate with in-depth knowledge and experience of current technologies with the aptitude to develop and manage the digital infrastructure ensuring resilience, redundancy and scalability of all systems for the future.

We are looking for candidates with previous experience of planning, installing, and managing enterprise level virtualisation technologies and other server-based systems/infrastructure that wants to be part of a dynamic team.

The primary purpose of the role is to manage, implement and advise on complex technical solutions and systems, being proactive and innovative to support the Trust's ambitious digital agenda. You will be providing direction, advice and liaising closely with the ITIL level 1-2 members of all the teams as well as senior department managers.

You will need to have the ability to work autonomously and as part of a team in a very dynamic environment, with commitment to provide an efficient, robust, and effective service.
