The Staff Bank team at the University Hospitals of Leicester NHS Trust is a busy and diverse working environment providing temporary nursing, locum medical staff and administrative and clerical staff across the Trust.

Due to increasing demands on the Staff Bank service we have created a new Support desk role and are looking to recruit a staff to deliver this role to our service users and staff. The successful candidates will need to have a flexible approach to working and a commitment to working as part of a team is important.

The main responsibility for this role is to ensure all staff are aware of the services we offer but are also supported with issues, recognising when concerns need to be escalated or passed to other teams to manage.

To perform well in this position you will need to be reliable, be a good team player, be able to use your initiative, prioritise your workload, work to tight deadlines whilst dealing with frequently changing priorities and be willing to learn and undertake training and development as the role requires.

Excellent written & verbal communication and interpersonal skills are essential as you will be in contact with a range of staff and departments internally as well as external to the Trust.

The successful applicant will be enthusiastic, confident and self-motivated, enjoy working in a challenging, busy environment and will have experience of working in a busy customer focused environment. Your work will mainly be telephone and IT based so you should have an excellent customer service background as well as good keyboard skills and a proven working knowledge of Microsoft Office packages is essential. Full training will be provided for our specialist software.
