NHS Contracts Manager
We have an exciting opportunity for NHS Contracts Manager to join our team at The Yorkshire Clinic, part of Ramsay Healthcare UK.

The role:
Working as part of a dynamic team to deliver effective services and provide high level, professional support to the Deputy Operations Manager covering all relevant aspects of managerial support to those working in the Medical Records and NHS Departments at the hospital
Playing a lead role in the performance management of the Hospital through negotiating and agreeing legally binding contracts and sub-contracts with commissioners, with support from the Deputy Operations Manager and Operations and Change Manager.
You will be expected to be the delegated lead on and achieve effective outcomes in negotiation and management of NHS contracts, monitoring the delivery of services and the implementation of strategies and policies to maximise contract and performance delivery.
Supporting the Hospital in ensuring it exercises its functions effectively, efficiently, economically, with good governance and in accordance with the terms of the agreed NHS contracts. You will support in the preparation of all contract documentation, for onward discussion and review with the Senior Leadership Team prior to submission to Ramsay Legal Team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare NHS Standard Contracts and Sub Contracts including service specifications with CCG and Trust colleagues. Ensuring agreed contracts are shared and understood by key Heads of Departments.
  • Ensure all subcontracted activity is monitored and managed effectively in partnership with the Deputy Operations Manager and Patient Administration Manager.
  • Take a lead in the sharing and effective implementation of all agreed contracts to all relevant departments across the Hospital.
  • Prepare monthly Performance Reports for presentation at the Contract Monitoring Board.
  • Work jointly with the Deputy Operations Manager, Patient Administration Manager and EPR Lead to ensure the Referral to Treatment pathway is effectively managed and maintained for all patients.
  • Ensuring Medical Records and NHS Departmental work streams are maintained within the designated Key Performance Indicators.
  • Provide representation at monthly Health and Safety meetings, ensuring key communications are shared with relevant team members.
  • Attend both internal and external meetings as required.
  • Deputise for the Patient Administration Manager and undertake any other relevant duties as required.

What you’ll bring with you:

  • Management experience in a healthcare contracting role with knowledge of contracting procedures.
  • Experience of negotiating and preparing contracts and presenting to senior leaders for approval.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to communicate diplomatically to develop positive and long term professional relationships with a wide range of internal staff and external stakeholders.
  • Ability to work autonomously, identify and direct own workload managing conflicting priorities to deliver the required outcomes.
  • Understanding of Information Governance and Confidentiality.
  • Proven track record of managing a team of staff effectively and efficiently within an agreed budget, delivering a range of KPI’s.
