We are looking to appoint enthusiastic Staff Nurses to join our Gynaecology team at St Marys Hospital. We have a substantive Band 5 Staff Nurse post working 37.5 hours per week with a mixture of long days and nights, Monday-Sunday.
Lillian Holland (SMH) has 12 in patient stay beds – patients are admitted for elective/emergency benign gynaecology surgery. Gynaecology Emergencies are admitted to the ward from A+E as well as the Gynaecology Emergency Room and Gynaecology Outpatients. The ward provides a separate nurse led unit for women having medical management for termination of pregnancy.

This is an exciting opportunity for newly qualified staff nurses or those with experience. You need to be passionate, dynamic, and forward thinking with a desire to build your knowledge and skills within a supportive environment. You should have excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a genuine enthusiasm in caring for Women undergoing all aspects of gynaecological care.


There will be opportunities for you to develop and expand your role. You will be expected to work within a committed multi-disciplinary team and provide high quality individualised patient care. Gynaecology experience is desirable, but not essential.
