e-Rostering Senior Information Analyst

Do you want to lead in the implementation, development and support of a new reporting and analysis service? Do have a passion for delivering improvements through the use of data? And do you have the technical expertise and knowledge to transform raw data into valuable information?

About us:

We are a small project team responsible for the 12 month roll-out of an Allocate e-Rostering solution across services within Leeds Community Healthcare NHS Trust. We operate as part of a larger Workforce Information Team who are responsible for the support and maintenance of all workforce systems.

The role:

This job holder will work in partnership with customers to develop our new reporting and analysis service for the eRostering function. They will build the infrastructure to operationalise the service, ensuring that we are utilising our corporate reporting platform to promote self-service access to our data, and that systems and processes are governed and standardised.

We want this role to showcase our data, demonstrate its value and highlight the opportunities it presents. By working closely with the eRostering project team, other internal analysis functions and our customers, the job holder will ensure that reports and analysis produced always add value.

This role will also keep a close watch on the quality of our data, and if necessary will work with the relevant partners to correct and improve. This role will also play a key role in the education and training of our stakeholders so that they can understand and use the data.

You will have strong technical skills and have experience with developing and supporting workforce reporting and analysis within a service environment as a data analyst or equivalent role. You will be confident working with, and managing large complex data sets, and be able to turn it into valuable information.

As well as being technically competent, you will be confident and comfortable in leading this area of work, ready to set the direction, and passionate about showing the organisation the potential in our eRostering data.

Being organised and having a keen eye for detail is important for this role, so if you enjoy organising work by developing and adhering to standards then this role may be for you.

You will demonstrate a real strength in being able to connect the “business problems” with the data available, producing analysis, and communicating it in a way which generates action and improvement.

The ideal candidate will also be a self-motivated curious learner who seeks to understand problems using critical thinking and questioning. You continually assesses and act on your developmental needs and is motivated and enthusiastic about performance improvement.
