We provide healthcare services to people living in Bridgend, Merthyr Tydfil and Rhondda Cynon Taf county borough areas, serving a population of around 450,000. We are ideally situated between Wales’s capital city, Porthcawl to the west, and the stunning scenery in the Beacon Beacons.

BAND 2 Healthcare Support Worker – 25 HOURS

6 month fixed term contract


BASE: Hirwaun Medical Centre

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a suitably qualified and experienced Healthcare Support Worker to participate in a 6-month pilot program. The successful candidate will work alongside both CTMUHB's District Nursing Service and RCTCBC's Support @ Home team in providing support to people in their own homes.

The successful applicants will be flexible in their approach and will work as part of a community team. The work will be shift work between the hours of 7:30 - 14:30 and 15:00 - 22:00, including weekends and bank holidays.

The successful applicants will receive support and training from both CTMUHB and RCTCBC in order to fulfill the role.

The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply.
